Napa Valley Wine Train Introduces Craft Beer-Themed Journeys

The Napa Valley Wine Train is known for its winery tours, day trips and themed events, but the company is now offering special beer-focused rail journeys.

Officials from the Napa Valley Wine Train announced that for the second year in a row, the train would be transformed into the Hop Train, a special beer-themed trip designed for any craft brew lover.

MORE Car Rental & Rail

The Hop Train departs Monday nights from June 3 through October, and tickets start at $79.99 per person, but locals in California are offered a special rate of $59.99 per person. The train departs at 6 p.m. and returns around 8 p.m. local time.

The renowned rail company takes passengers through the Napa Valley wine country as local brewers in Napa provide beer for travelers. The journeys will feature several unique brews, including fresh and citrusy Loco IPA 7.5 percent, smooth and smoky 1849 Gold Rush Red Ale 5.7 percent, and light and crisp Little Loco Session IPA 5.3 percent.

The beers are produced by the Napa Palisades Beer Company, who is inviting craft brew connoisseurs to enjoy 360-degree views of wine country, delicious bar food, a unique Open-Air train car and two pints each of local craft beer.

For those who don’t drink beer but still want to be part of the action, the Napa Valley Wine Train also offers wine and spirits available for purchase.
