“American Jazz” will be the name of the third vessel in U.S. river cruise operator American Cruise Lines’ Modern Riverboat series. The ship is currently under construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, MD and is scheduled to launch Mississippi River itineraries beginning in 2020.
American Jazz will be slightly larger than both the first and second ships in the series, American Song and American Harmony, say company officials. The newest ship will feature the same opening bow and retractable gangway found aboard the earlier vessels.
