Disney Announces 2020 Deployment

Disney Cruise Line announced new details about its 2020 deployment during a webcast this morning.

Among the biggest news items: the line is returning to the Hawaiian Islands. It will also homeport for the first time in New Orleans. The line will also return for a limited run in Puerto Rico and continue its popular tropical itineraries from Florida and California.

Bookings for the 2020 sailings open to the public on October 4, 2018.

MORE Cruise Line & Cruise Ship

In 2020, New Orleans will host Disney Wonder for a limited-time season. The ship will offer an array of Caribbean and Bahamian cruises from the Crescent City. It’s the first time a Disney Cruise Line ship will be positioned in Louisiana.

Disney Wonder will also return to Hawaii after a five-year hiatus. The ship will offer two cruises in 2020. One is a nine-night voyage to Honolulu from Vancouver, Canada, on April 29. The other is a 10-night sailing back to Vancouver on May 8. The itinerary includes Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Island.

Additionally, the Disney Wonder will return to some popular ports in 2020. She’ll sail two seven-night voyages in January from San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a five-night Bahamian cruise. The ship then repositions to San Diego, where she’ll sail seven cruises to Baja and the Mexican Riviera.

Three Disney Cruise Line ships will sail to the Caribbean from Florida in early 2020. Offerings include Bahamian and Western Caribbean cruises from Miami aboard Disney Magic. Disney Fantasy will offer seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. And, the Disney Dream will also operate three- and four-night Bahamian cruises from Port Canaveral.
