The Disney Fantasy cruise ship was apparently forced to return to port on Saturday night—potentially due to a medical emergency—barely an hour after the ship left port.
Multiple Disney-related blogs reported on the incident, including the aptly named Doctor Disney.
MORE Cruise Line & Cruise Ship
But as of 3 p.m. ET Sunday, Disney itself has not commented, either through Walt Disney World media relations or Disney Cruise Lines public affairs. A call on Sunday morning to an on-duty media relations representative proved fruitless when he said he was “unaware of anything like that.”
The post on the Doctor Disney blog noted that the real-time Port Canaveral Webcam showed the Fantasy leaving the dock on Saturday to set out to sea but also showed it returning about an hour later.
The blog has photos of the ship docking again and being met by medical personnel, who boarded the ship with an empty stretcher through a gangway.
