Voyage itineraries are still being finalized but will provide passengers with access to routes that no other cruise line is offering, Mexico’s and Latin-America’s leading resort developer and tourism operator announced Tuesday.

Promising guests an unparalleled level of luxury, Vidanta Elegant has been stripped down and rebuilt from the hull up with the help of industry leader SMC Design. The 298-passenger vessel will boast 149 inviting staterooms and suites as well as a remarkable one-to-one passenger-to-crew ratio.

Guests will also enjoy the perks of having a personal concierge assigned to their cabin.

Other highlights will include at least a half-dozen public decks and dining areas, 11 bars and lounges, an entertainment venue, a full-service spa and fitness center along with a top deck pool and multiple jacuzzis.

What’s more, Vidanta Elegant’s signature chefs will include Chef Eric Pansu—who was named Best Chef in France—and Pastry Chef Pascal Molines—who was recognized as the Best Pastry Chef in France in addition to being named World Pastry Chef Champion.

Meanwhile, destination excursions will feature some of Mexico’s best-kept secrets, including one-of-a-kind experiences and stops showcasing local culture and tradition. The new luxury cruise line will also offer travelers the convenience of splitting their vacation time between the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta and Vidanta Elegant via one simple check-in process.

“Vidanta is proud to bring a revolutionary new approach to cruising,” said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta, in a statement. “We have built a legacy 45 years in the making based on the extraordinary luxury and personalized service offered by our resort vacations. Now we’re extending that legacy to the open sea while utilizing our unique perspective as a Mexican company to give access to the hidden gems of the coastline and rarely offered transformative cultural experiences.”

Vidanta Cruises plans to reveal additional information on itineraries, voyage length, destinations and cruising dates as it’s confirmed.
