If You Want to Work for Disney Cruise Line, Here’s Your Chance

If you ever thought about working in the travel industry, here’s your chance to start with a true dream job.

Walt Disney Co. is looking for a few good men and women to staff its cruise ships in the U.S., Caribbean and Europe, or at Castaway Cay, Disney’s own private island in the Bahamas.

Here’s a look at what Disney workers do:

Make no mistake, however—it’s fun work, but challenging.

MORE Cruise Line & Cruise Ship

These are unlike many jobs in the travel industry in that everything is flexible and you need to roll with it, from the work schedule to job duties to location. You’ll have to start with youth activities and work your way up.

And, like any job, you’ll assist in set-up, clean-up, cleaning and sanitizing of the workspace and items such as balls and toys.

Workers should know they also are expected to work up to four months at a time without a day off, and work 70 to 84 hours per week.

So…you up for it?

Well, according to Disney’s application site, the company is looking to fill positions including cruise staff/DJ, entertainment host or hostess, entertainment technician, lifeguard, main state and character performers, musicians, nursery counselors, youth activities counselor and youth entertainment host and hostess.
