Norwegian Cruise Line‘s Norwegian Joy is set to make her debut in Alaska this spring following a $50-plus million refurbishment.
The new and improved vessel will cruise year-round from the West Coast to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera and the Panama Canal from Miami and Los Angeles beginning next month.
Onboard highlights will include a thrilling two-level go-kart race track in the middle of the ocean, laser tag, mini golf and Galaxy Pavilion—a virtual world where guests can take part in pulse-pounding immersive experiences such as a cutting-edge racing simulator and Wonder Wall, a 3D animated interactive video screen.
Guests can also look forward to the family-friendly Aqua Park, which boasts the Ocean Loop double loop waterslide popping out over the side of the ship. There’s also a Kids’ Aqua Park for younger guests as well as a Splash Academy offering themed activities, sports, parties and more for the little ones.
The Entourage Teen Club features movies, art, music, video games and even dance parties for teenage passengers seeking a temporary escape from mom and dad.
Meanwhile, the Tony Award-nominated musical Footloose will make its debut at sea aboard Norwegian Joy. The classic aerial acrobatics show, Elements, and wine-tasting comedy, Wine Lovers: The Musical will also be featured onboard the ship.
In addition to some one-of-a-kind onboard activities and entertainment, guests will have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, the Mandara Spa & Salon offering relaxing spa treatments such as hot-stone massage and a casino.
Plus, the industry-first quarter-mile oceanfront promenade boasts stunning views as well as restaurants and bars to complement the unbeatable atmosphere.
