Oceania Cruises Reports Record Booking Day

Destination-focused operator Oceania Cruises reported the largest booking day in the line’s history on April 17, the date bookings opened for its winter season voyages in 2020 through2021. The record day represented a 20 percent increase in bookings over the previous winter season launch, said Bob Binder, the company’s CEO and president.

Binder said Oceania’s Japan itineraries were particularly popular among travelers booking the winter season voyages, while cruises to the Holy Land, Africa, and India also posted “exceptional” booking levels.

“The response by consumers and travel advisors to this latest collection of voyages underscores the increased demand we are experiencing from loyal repeat guests and new guests alike,” Binder said.

Oceania’s winter 2020-2021 season will feature 85 itineraries, including 69 are new itineraries, sailing to Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Cuba, the Panama Canal, Mexico, South America, the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand.

The coming winter season will represent the first during which Oceania’s six ships will sail under the brand’s OceaniaNEXT initiative, which will incorporate “thoughtfully crafted new dining experiences and reimagined menus” as part of a program that will also feature “in-depth destination exploration,” Binder said

“Although OceaniaNext is an ambitious and sweeping enhancement of the guest experience, our award-winning staff remains the jewel in our crown, always on hand to deliver the most inspired service,” he added.
