At the same time, Rivera revealed planned departure dates for its four existing solo-traveler itineraries, which sail through France, Germany, Austria, and Portugal:

– March 30, April 3 and November 2, 2020: The Blue Danube — eight days starting at $2,079 per person

– April 2, 2020: Burgundy, the River Rhone and Provence — eight days starting at $2,679 per person

– October 31, 2020: Rhine, Strasbourg & Heidelberg — eight days starting at $2,459 per person

– November 8 and November 13, 2020: The Douro, Porto and Salamanca River — eight days starting at $2,729 per person

On any of these seven solo cruises, guests who prefer to go it alone can enjoy Riviera’s five-star ships with spacious cabins and suites, fine culinary experiences, and expert-led excursions without paying a single supplement.

Riviera debuted its solo-traveler itineraries on the Danube and Rhine Rivers in 2018 in recognition of an increasing demand for solo cruises. The operator plans to continue bolstering its collection of epicurean cruises created with the independent cruise-goer in mind.

“As interest in solo travel has grown in recent years, we’re proud to be the only European river cruise line offering departures exclusively for guests who are on their own – on these cruises, that means single occupancy in every cabin and suite across the ship, with no single supplement,” said Marilyn Conroy, Riviera River Cruises’ Vice President Sales and Marketing North America. “Guests will enjoy luxurious accommodations and fine dining while on board, as well as fascinating excursions into classic cities and lesser-known towns, all at an exceptional value.”

Riviera is further demonstrating its solo-sojourner friendliness by offering a limited number of cabins single-supplement-free on every Riviera departure throughout the year.
