Virgin Voyages Announces Two New Environmentally Friendly Partnerships

In celebration of Earth Day, Virgin Voyages has announced two new partnerships that emphasize the use of recyclable and reusable materials across the cruise line’s first ship, the Scarlet Lady.

The first partnership is between Virgin Voyages and Intelligentsia Coffee and will provide passengers with a custom blend and expert baristas crafting beverages at Ministry of Ground, the Scarlet Lady’s coffee bar.

As for the second partnership, Virgin Voyages is teaming with Emerald Brand on the creation of a new line of plastic-free, Tree-Free disposable products, which includes cups, napkins and paper towels.

Starting on the Scarlet Lady’s maiden voyage in 2020, the Emerald Brand products will replace the single-use plastic items banned by Virgin Voyages, including straws, bottled water, beverage bottles, condiment packets, shopping bags, food packaging, stirrers and more.

Together, the partnerships with Intelligentsia Coffee and Emerald Brand are rooted in shared values of commitment to quality, responsible sourcing, environmental sustainability and social impact, which are at the core of Virgin Voyages’ values.

Virgin Voyages is looking to create an Epic Sea Change for All and use business as a force for good, creating positive changes for people and the planet.
