A Culinary Journey on the Shores of Riviera Maya

Located on the shores of Riviera Maya, Hotel Xcaret Mexico provides visitors to this area a unique experience during their stay. With a focus on history, nature and sustainability, the resort immerses guests in the traditions of the Mayan and Mexican culture with a modern touch.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico invites visitors to indulge in a culinary journey, enjoying a variety of delicious cuisine throughout the resort. Several of the restaurants offer traditional Mexican fare, but there are also international flavors available.

Trajineras is a name for boats that sailed the canals in Mexico City long ago, and this is a tradition that carries on today. Hotel Xcaret Mexico’s La Trajinera restaurant allows guests to experience this tradition in a recreated setting. It’s located by the main pool and is open for both lunch and dinner.

A cantina, in the Mexican culture, is a place to enjoy food and drink with family and friends. Cantina Los Faroles allows visitors to do just that. The hotel has reinvented a traditional cantina environment that is open for both breakfast and dinner. After dinner, music and entertainment begin, and the menu offers snacks and drinks throughout the evening.

Guests can even experience a traditional Mexican market when dining at Mercado de la Merced. This one has various theme stations and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In addition to traditional Mexican cuisine, Hotel Xcaret Mexico also offers food from around the world. Xin-Gao is in the main building and is a restaurant with Asian cuisine. It has delicious options from teppanyaki to a Western tatami. This restaurant is only open for dinner and requires a reservation.

For a more laidback setting, surrounded by the sound of waves with toes in the sand, guests can enjoy lunch or dinner at Las Playas. With flavors inspired from the Mediterranean, India and the Caribbean, Las Playas offers a variety of dishes in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.

These are just a few of the many restaurants located on the property. In addition to these options, Hotel Xcaret Mexico’s All-Fun Inclusive concept provides visitors the option to experience the various parks in the area and with that includes food and beverages at each place.

Families choosing to spend the day at Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplor or one of the many other parks are not to worry, as they will have meals and snacks available throughout the day. Transportation to and from these parks is also included.

Along with the delicious cuisine are several bars to visit including a pool bar, a lobby bar, a swim-up bar and a rooftop bar, among others. The experienced mixologists at the resort are always ready to mix up a unique new cocktail or a traditional favorite to sip on.

With the variety of gastronomy available, guests’ palates are more than satisfied throughout a stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
