An Adults-Only Escape to Paradise in Playa Mujeres

Nothing beats the convenience of flying into the Cancun Airport. It’s a nonstop flight from several U.S. gateways, and a short car ride upon arrival gives you easy access to numerous different places.

You can choose to enjoy a weekend in Cancun at Secrets The vine, just a few minutes from the airport. A longer stroll down Highway 307 will land you on the pristine beaches of Secrets Maroma Beach near Playa Del Carmen. From there you could even take the ferry over to stay at Secrets Aura on the island of Cozumel.

However, if you’re looking for something new, head north from the Cancun Airport and stay in the Playa Mujeres area at Secrets Playa Mujeres by AMResorts. The beaches are the best of the best, and the limited amount of resorts in this area makes for a quieter, laidback atmosphere.

A week relaxing at Secrets Playa Mujeres will do you good.

You’ll be greeted with a cold scented towel and a refreshing glass of champagne the moment you enter the lobby of this luxurious adults-only resort. From there, the friendly staff will be sure you’re all checked in and escorted to your room. There are garden and ocean views and even swim out options.

All of the rooms have a fresh modern look. For an even higher level of luxury, choose to book a preferred club room category. This gives you access to a private lounge, an upgraded mini bar, 20 percent off spa treatments and additional dining options among other privileges.

You won’t go hungry, as a stay at this property gives you access to an array of restaurants. From French and Italian cuisine to traditional Mexican, and everything in between. There are fine dining options for those who like to dress up a bit and casual bites for those looking for something more low key.

Throughout the day you can choose to stay busy or do nothing at all. Guests can take their pick from lounging poolside or on the beach next to the mesmerizing waves.

There are bars stocked full of refreshing drinks both on the pool deck and on the beach, and the daily service from the waiters and waitresses is incredible. You’ll have a cold drink in hand before you can even finish your first.

If staying busy is more your style, you can start the morning with complimentary yoga or a bike ride led by a guide. From there, you can jump into a game of volleyball, a dance competition or even a Spanish lesson. There is music played throughout the day by the pool.

After a day spent in the sun and a delicious dinner, you’ll have plenty of options to keep the night rolling. Grab a cocktail and cozy up by the fire, check out the piano bar for entertainment or hit Desires Music Lounge for an evening of dancing.

All this and more awaits at the lovely Secrets Playa Mujeres.
