In the heart of Los Angeles’ business and financial districts, a crown jewel of the city has been newly shined, thanks to the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation at the Hilton Checkers Hotel. On May 15th the Hilton Checkers Hotel will host a grand re-opening celebration to commemorate the revived grandeur of the historical hotel.

MORE Hotel & Resort

Known for the past 90 years as the pinnacle of elegance and timeless décor, this latest transformation has added to the attractive allure the Hilton Checkers Hotel holds. As a boutique hotel boasting top-notch hospitality, guests will be delighted to take in the upgrades that have touched every corner of the establishment.

Each of the 193 guestrooms and suites have had their interiors enhanced with new soft goods, furnishings, and bathrooms. The decadence of a stay at the Hilton Checkers Hotel has not only been elevated in the private quarters but in the spacious public spaces and 3,300 square feet of meeting space as well. Featuring deep blues and cool greys accented by rich gold tones throughout the premises, the color scheme evokes sophistication while still offering a welcoming feel.

A particularly notable addition to the hotel is their new concept, “1927 Bar+Kitchen.” Designed with the grandeur and gentility of the roaring ’20s combined with today’s constant focus on innovation in mind, it is the perfect modern-day speakeasy. Contemporary crystal chandeliers and rich hardwood floors with patterned inlays, and classic leather bar seats all fulfill the image of a truly distinguished dining experience. In addition to the dazzling design, the new executive chef Harout Hadjinian is serving up sumptuous dishes.

At the May 15th grand re-opening there will be light refreshments prepared by Chef Hadjinian, in addition to 1927 Bar+Kitchen’s signature drinks. The event goes from 4 p.m.–6 p.m., with the ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled promptly for 4:20 p.m.

The Hilton Checkers Los Angeles is owned by Chesapeake Lodging Trust, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, LLC. The property is within walking distance to the Los Angeles Convention Center as well as being in close proximity to many leisure attractions including the L.A. Live Complex, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
