The Leading Hotels of the World has just added more than one dozen new properties to its portfolio.
The new hotels include notable, culinary-focused hotspots in France and Brazil, off the beaten path retreats in such places as Colombia and Montenegro, and even resort spas in China.

“It is a pleasure to welcome this impressive group of new member hotels to our portfolio,” Deniz Omurgonulsen, vice president, membership, The Leading Hotels of the World, said in a statement. “The 14 properties span four continents and provide varied styles of architecture, design and distinct cultural experiences for our curious travelers to enjoy.”
The Leading Hotels of the World collection already has more than 400 independent members.
The new properties join the portfolio on the heels of the brand announcing its renovated Leaders Club loyalty program. Designed to enhance travelers’ stays, the Leaders Club program includes such offerings as exclusive access to new hotels, confirmed pre-arrival upgrades, and Leaders Club points accrual, which can be redeemed for free stays. The club also includes opportunities for room upgrade priority at arrival, early check-in and late check-out considerations, daily continental breakfast for two, and more.
The new member hotels are spread across 10 countries, including eight new and recently opened properties in China, Colombia, France, Indonesia, Maldives, Mexico and Montenegro. Here are the newest members of the Leading Hotels of the World collection.
ASIA
The PuXuan Hotel and Spa (Bejing, China)
The PuXuan Hotel and Spa is a new architectural icon of Beijing’s skyline. It was designed by renowned architect Ole Scheeren and is managed by Urban Resort Concepts (URC).
Opening its doors in late 2018, the hotel is a modernist masterpiece adjacent to one of the world’s most significant historic landmarks, the Forbidden City. The property features 116 rooms and suites as well as several world-class dining venues and its signature UR SPA, focused on modern science and ancient healing. C
An uncommon experience not to miss: Celebrate the rich history of this hotel’s locale, The PuXuan Hotel and Spa invites guests on a walking tour through Beijing’s maze-like alleys known as hutongs. First, stroll to ShiJia Hutong, believed to have been built during the Ming Dynasty and now preserved as a museum with exhibits from a hutong home of a bygone era. After that, marvel at the exquisite architecture and immerse in the ethereal sounds of Jing music by Buddhist monks at ZhiHua temple, a tradition that has been passed down 27 generations.
Capella Ubud (Bali, Indonesia)
Nestled between Ubud’s rainforest, rice terraces and the sacred Wos river, Capella Ubud opened in July 2018. The ultra-luxurious tented camp was inspired by the early European settlers from the 1800s and features 23 tents, all with private salt water pools. During the day Capella’s personal assistants can arrange adventurous excursions, or guests can spend an afternoon pampering with spa treatments at the Auriga Spa.
An uncommon experience not to miss: Guests are invited to reconnect with their travel companions during 24-hours of absolute indulgence, from sunrise to sunrise. Begin with a Balinese holy water ritual and pranayama yoga on your private deck followed by the exploration of self-healing through Swadistana Cakra Balancing.
The immersion continues with pampering during a Senja Sunyi massage, including a full bath ritual, before enjoying Camp Roast Dinner crafted by camp’s chef. The experience ends the next morning with a purification ritual at Wos Beji River temple.
EUROPE
Tivoli Avenida Liberdade (Lisbon, Portugal)
A celebrated city landmark in central Lisbon, the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa is the place to see and be seen
Since 1933, this famed hotel has delivered exceptional hospitality to celebrities, heads of state and royalty alike. The property completed a renovation in 2017 that encompassed its 285 rooms and suites, leisure areas and restaurant facilities.
An energetic ambiance is highlighted in the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade’s new concept restaurant, Cervejaria Liberdade, serving seafood locally sourced from the Portuguese coastline. The property also features an exclusive rooftop bar perfect for sipping cocktails under the stars and its Anantara Spa which combines ancient far-eastern therapies with indigenous Portuguese rituals.

As a converted 18th century palace, the Tivoli Palacio de Seteais is a gem of period architecture with nods to the romance and refinement of the Age of Enlightenment. Ornate furnishings, 18th-century antiques and restored frescoes adorn the property, while each of the 30 rooms features its own distinct design.

For an exclusive option, the hotel offers an ‘Own a Palace for a Day’ program that invites guests to privatize the hotel for their travels and provides the chance to journey back in time and enjoy the romanticism of a luxury palace and its 18th-century neoclassical architecture.
The Chedi Lustica Bay (Radovici, Montenegro)
Stretched along Montenegro’s Traste Bay, The Chedi Lustica Bay opened in July 2018. The resort’s 111 rooms and suites offer a water or mountain view and are designed in a breezy-chic style that reflects the maritime environment. The Chedi’s two restaurants, elegant lobby lounge, beach bar carved into a natural rock, indoor and outdoor pools and spa draw both in-house guests and area residents.

Fauchon L’Hotel Paris (Paris, France)
Just opened in September 2018 and well-positioned to become an icon for grand gourmet moments, Fauchon L’Hotel Paris is the first hotel from Fauchon, the prestigious purveyor of gourmet French food. Located near Place de la Madeleine in the 8th arrondissement, the hotel is just a short walk from Palais Garnier opera house, upscale department stores and Place de la Concorde. Those in search of bespoke Parisian experiences can check-in to one of their 54 rooms and suites featuring a variety of character traits including vaults, balconies, bow windows and more, while offering a common luxury: Paris city views.

The original buildings at the property date back to 1838, and now house 92 rooms and suites, 13 apartments, two restaurants and a state-of-the-art spa.

Es Princep (Palma de Mallorca, Spain)
With its unique location in the historic center of Palma de Mallorca Es Princep opened in March 2018 and offers sweeping views of the city and sea.
