MGM Springfield Opens Doors, Announces New Wahlburgers Location

MGM Resorts International made its debut in New England. The MGM Springfield has opened its doors in Massachusetts.

The 250-room boutique hotel is well on its way to becoming a culinary and entertainment hotspot. Fresh on the heels of its opening, MGM announced that the resort would be home to a new Wahlburgers location.

Brothers Mark, Donnie, and Chef Paul Wahlberg have announced they will be joining the resort’s culinary portfolio in late 2019.

“When we started this family business, our goal was to invite friends and families from around the world to enjoy great burgers together,” said Mark Wahlberg. “We can’t wait for Wahlburgers to be a part of MGM Springfield.”

Michael Mathis, president and chief operating officer of MGM Springfield, said, “We are incredibly excited to partner with the Wahlberg brothers to bring this fun destination to our property. The Wahlbergs are a staple in the Massachusetts community, making this restaurant the ideal addition to our resort.”

The MGM Springfield complex covers three city blocks in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, and is a combination of new construction and revived historic buildings.

The resort offers more than 125,000 square feet of gaming space, a 250-room boutique hotel on Main Street, spa services, and retail outlets.

Dining is headlined by award-winning Chef Michael Mina’s Cal Mare and the property is also home to the Chandler Steakhouse, helmed by Hell’s Kitchen season 14 winner Meghan Gill. Visitors can grab a drink at the TAP Sports Bar.

The MGM Springfield is also an entertainment hub with a seven-screen Regal luxury cinema complex, bowling lanes, a seasonal skating rink and outdoor marketplace displaying local art, events, and talent.
