The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Makes a Splash This Pool Season

WHY IT RATES: Guests of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas have a lot to look forward to this summer.—Codie Liermann, Associate Editor


The Pool District at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will once again shine with an array of exciting summertime experiences this pool season, from poolside motion pictures to high energy pool parties. The 2019 season will bring a variety of new offerings including mid-week locals pricing on daybeds and cabanas, newly crafted specialty cocktails, and an extended Dive In Movies schedule.

Cabana Reservations

This season, locals looking to hang poolside and Strip-side can receive specialty mid-week locals pricing on cabana and daybed reservations with a valid Nevada ID. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling 702-698-6797 or by booking online. Cabana reservations are also welcomed to non-hotel guests.

Boulevard Pool

Overlooking the heart of the Strip, Boulevard Pool’s multi-level, open-air environment offers unobstructed views of the Las Vegas skyline. The rooftop atmosphere creates a vibrant social scene.

Dive In Movies

Entering its ninth season, Dive In Movies will transform the resort’s 65-foot digital marquee into a colossal movie screen overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip. From classic films to major blockbusters, Dive In Movies allows locals and visitors alike to take a dip or lounge poolside while enjoying specialty cocktails and movie snacks under the stars. Admission to Dive In Movies is $7. Hotel guests will receive complimentary entry.

Dive In Movies will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. and will entertain from Monday, May 13, through Monday, Sept. 2. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Find a schedule of the movies here.

Boulevard Pool hours are currently Monday — Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Beginning April 8 they will change to Monday — Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Overlook Grill

Overlook Grill serves American staples along with uniquely curated brunch selections from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The al fresco dining experience offers a carefree way to spend the afternoon with offerings such as bottomless mimosas for $20 a person and an option to upgrade to rosé sparkling wine for $22 a person.

Menu highlights include the following:

—Overlook Omelet with honey-cured bacon, tomato, avocado, jack cheese served with breakfast potatoes and country toast

—Detox Green Bowl with quinoa, baby kale, apple, dried cranberries, broccoli, fresh avocado, cilantro maple dressing and an option to add chicken or salmon

—Big Eye Tuna Poke Bowl with wakame salad, sushi rice, avocado, edamame, pickled vegetables and chili threads

—Signature Fish Tacos with crispy corn tortilla shells, smoked jalapeno aioli and salsa

—Avocado Toast Benedict with avocado spread, shaved parmesan, roasted tomato, poached eggs, and hollandaise, served with breakfast potatoes

—White Chocolate Brioche French Toast with caramelized peaches, raspberry sauce, pecans and mint

Overlook Grill hours are currently Monday – Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Beginning April 8 they will change to Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Chelsea Pool

Located in The Chelsea Tower, The Chelsea Pool offers an intimate and serene atmosphere. From light bites and salads to specialty cocktails and frozen drinks, The Chelsea Pool boasts light and organic options for poolside dining. Poolside spa treatments from neighboring Sahra Spa & Hammam are available for guests by appointment.

The Chelsea Pool hours are Friday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Beginning April 8 they will change to Monday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Cocktails

Kickback and cool off by the pool with a variety of handcrafted cocktails available at Boulevard Pool and Chelsea Pool. The cocktail menu features a collection of refreshing summer-inspired cocktails. Menu highlights include the following:

—Dole Whip with Bacardi Banana, Bacardi 8, pineapple juice and Kern’s Pink Guava

—Yes Way, Frosè with Belvedere Peach Nectar or Grapefruit Vodka Strawberry Froze Rosè Wine

—Stubborn Mule with Ciroc Coconut, lemon juice, Makrut lime leaves, Coco Chai Rooibos Tea and ginger beer

—Tequila Mockingbird with Patron Silver, tamarind ginger syrup, lemon juice and Squirt soda

—Resting Beachface with Ketel One Botanicals Grapefruit Rose, Italicus, lemon juice, Strawberry Rhubarb Rose Syrup, H20 Apple Rosewater Dash Strawberry Fig Shrub
