MORE Hotel & Resort
About 30 minutes outside of Paris, in the region of Ile-de-France, sits a cottage made up entirely of chocolate. That’s right—nothing but pounds and pounds of mouth-watering chocolate.
The cottage itself was built by well-renowned French chocolatier Jean-Luc Decluzeau, and it’s the first and only of its kind. And now, booking.com is offering an exclusive stay at this chocolate haven that sleeps up to four people.
About 1.5 tons of chocolate was used to create the masterpiece, with everything inside also being made from the delectable treat. The roof, walls, fireplace, clock, books, dresser and mugs—all chocolate. The beautiful hanging chandelier—again, chocolate.
In addition, right outside of the cottage you’ll find a lake made up entirely of white chocolate, which sits next to a chocolate flower bed.
For the small price of just 45 euros a night, which converts to about 53 US dollars, guests can indulge in their sweetest fantasies. While the entire cottage is edible, damaging the property by way of eating, or any way really, is strictly prohibited.
Included in your stay, lessons from amazing artist Decluzeau himself, who will teach you how to make a miniature chocolate chalet to take home as a souvenir.
In a statement made by Decluzeau, he said, “I never thought I was going to build a human-sized chocolate cottage for travelers. I’m very happy to share my passion for chocolate, and I hope travelers will enjoy their stay in such a unique and tasty place.”
