American Airlines is dealing with a major headache Friday as hundreds of flights were canceled due to a technical glitch.
According to THV11.com, officials from American revealed a technical issue with its regional carrier PSA Airlines caused the cancellation of 275 flights on June 14 and another 400 flights Friday.
The technical issue left hundreds of passengers stranded at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, as well as impacting travel plans for customers at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Highfill, Arkansas.

Airline officials revealed they had resolved the problem and were working to resume their operations at 11 a.m. CST. An American spokesperson said the carrier was working to accommodate impacted passengers on flights in the afternoon.
Technical issues and power outages can cause havoc, as it did in December when an electrical failure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport resulted in the cancellation of around 1,200 flights.
