As a result of the storms, Delta Air Lines has started issuing travel advisories for customers traveling to, from or through the New York City metro area Friday. The carrier is waiving change fees for impacted travelers.
According to FlightAware.com, over 150 flights within, into or out of the United States were canceled Friday and another 250-plus have been delayed. Gusty winds, rain and decreased visibility may lead to a number of potential delays and ground stops at five New York airports.
