Two police officers in France are set to go on trial for the gang rape of a Canadian tourist at Paris police headquarters.
According to The Associated Press, the two anti-gang officers are part of the BRI force and have been formally accused of raping the unidentified woman at 36 Quai des Orfevres, a famous police station depicted in many crime movies and novels.

The woman claimed she met a group of officers in April 2014 at an Irish pub along the Seine River. After hanging with the officers and sharing a few drinks, they invited the woman to the police headquarters for a night tour.
Once inside the building, the woman claims she was raped several times by multiple officers.
While the case was initially thrown out by a judge, the Paris prosecutor filed a formal appeal on behalf of the Canadian tourist and won the chance to have the case brought to trial, which began Monday.
If convicted of the crimes, the accused officers could face up to 20 years in prison.
