Several 5-star hotelss were caught not washing bed linens, wash basins, bathtubs and other items in a report released earlier this week.
A consumer watchdog group, Better Choice, Better Life rented several US$300-a-night rooms in Beijing, recorded themselves marking several items in the room with fluorescent stamps only visible under UV light.
They then checked out and had colleagues check into the same rooms the following day who found that the marks, “which the group claimed would quickly disappear if wiped or washed,” were still there.
