Following Southwest Airlines’ announcement, American Airlines just informed employees that it plans to suspend all inflight service on flights ranged 2200 miles (or 4.5 hours) and less. The change is to begin on Friday, March 27, 2020.
Flight Attendants will no longer make an pass through the cabin with inflight offerings. However, according to initial reports, the aircraft will receive a small supply of catering supplies should passengers request beverage and snack items.
