Big East Coast Cities Everyone Should Visit Once

Across the U.S., there are many cities that are widely popular and well worth a visit. If you are traveling on the East Coast, you have several cities to choose from. During your visit, make sure you hit these cities that everyone should visit at least once. 

Boston

Nestled along the coast of Massachusetts, Boston is a city that truly has something for everyone. Boston is full of history and was heavily featured in the Revolutionary War. On your visit, you can visit sites like Bunker Hill, Paul Revere’s home, and the Boston Harbor. You can see these and many more sites when you travel along the Freedom Trail throughout the city. Along with history, visitors to Boston can enjoy fresh New England seafood, exquisite architecture, and captivating museums. Sports fans should be sure to pay a visit to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox. 

Washington D.C.

The capitol of the United States is another city that everyone should plan a visit to at some point. Washington D.C. is most known for its plethora of historic sites, museums, and memorials. Walking along the national mall, you can visit several Smithsonian museums including the National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American History, and the National Air and Space Museum. The national mall is also home to the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II memorial, and the U.S. Capitol Building. The sites aren’t the only draw to Washington D.C. Recreational marijuana use in D.C. has been legal since 2015. In D.C., you can also visit plenty of quality bars and breweries and explore the extensive variety of different cuisines to try. 

New York City

You can’t talk about the East Coast without mentioning New York City. This city is an iconic feature in many movies and TV shows, so there are many familiar sites you can visit. New York is well known for its skyline of towering skyscrapers including the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. New York also features five unique boroughs and distinct neighborhoods. You can enjoy different types of food, live music, shopping, and a dose of history. If you want a break from the city, you can also visit Central Park. This park has many attractions including the Central Park Zoo, the Mall and Literary Walk, and Loeb Boathouse. 

The East Coast is home to many exciting cities to explore. There’s truly something for anyone in these cities. Whether you go for the history, the culture, or the food, you won’t want to miss seeing these cities at least once in your life.
