Delta Air Lines was awarded for its commitment to diversity efforts when the carrier was named a Top Corporation for Women Business Enterprises.
During a recent ceremony, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council honored Delta for demonstrating the highest commitment to providing opportunities for women-owned suppliers.
The award takes into account the Delta’s annual spending with women-owned businesses, the engagement of the company’s senior leaders and the strength of the company’s Supplier Diversity program.
Several key Delta executives were in attendance at the WBENC conference and awards ceremony in Dallas, including Supply Chain Management vice president Tom Shortt, Supplier Diversity general manager Karmetria Burton, Supplier Diversity manager Kimberly Coffman and Supplier Diversity program coordinator Sandra Duckworth.
