Be careful the next time you reach for your checked luggage.
An unintended ride on the baggage carousel could cost one passenger in Moscow, Russia $24.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), a woman in her late 50s was traveling through Sheremetyevo International Airport after getting off a flight from Belgrade, Serbia on Sunday when she accidentally fell onto the baggage carousel and was carried into the luggage room.
“She was waiting to collect her luggage by the baggage carousel when she saw a pet carrier with her dog and reached for it,” a transport police spokesman told Moskva news agency. “Apparently losing her balance, she fell onto the conveyor belt and was carried away to the luggage room.”
To make matters worse, the woman was fined for damaging the airport’s freight transportation system. The infraction carries a maximum fine of 1,500 rubles or $24, according to authorities.

Details surrounding incident are scarce so it’s unclear if the woman or her dog were injured.
The awkward incident comes not long after a passenger from England discovered a scorpion in his luggage following a trip to Africa. Last year, a man used a luggage conveyor to bypass security at Miami International Airport before making his way onto the tarmac.
