Finnair Unveils Its Revamped Amenity Kits

Finnair has debuted revamped business class amenity kits boasting sustainable toiletries. These kits, which feature an array of designs by Finnish design house Marimekko, come packed with an array of naturally derived toiletries and are meant to be used long after travelers complete their journeys.

Finland’s national carrier has debuted revamped business class amenity kits offering a selection of sustainable toiletries.

The kit bags themselves feature a range of eight striking and bold designs by famed visual artist Maija Isola, who worked with Marimekko, a Helsinki-based fashion and design company.

Inside, Finnair’s business class passengers will find toiletries from L:a Bruket, a Swedish cosmetics company. The range of toiletries includes organic lip balm and facial cream infused with chamomile, cucumber and green tea.

In a statement, the carrier explained that sustainability is at the heart of this latest revamp of its amenity kit, which is to be introduced on trans-continental flights onboard Finnair’s Airbus A350 and A330 aircraft.

The latest design of the travel kit includes more sustainable features, and we have significantly reduced plastic and packaging. Your toothbrush is also crafted from cornstarch-based bioplastic,” it said.

The carrier added, “The pouch is designed to live beyond your journey with Finnair and to be used for countless times after your flight.”

Speaking of this revamped kit, David Kondo, the carrier’s head of cabin interior development, told The Daily Mail, “We wanted to introduce more patterns more often, so there is something new and fresh for our frequent flyers. The new kits have also been sized so they can live on after each flight for a variety of uses.”

We view this partnership as a great initiative to increase the appeal of our amenity kit. We’re also trying to connect the lounge and in-flight experience more and more for our customers, and offering organic and natural L: Bruket products both on the ground and in the air is a great step in that direction,” he added.
