Frontier Offering 2-for-1 Deal

The all-too-rare two-fer is in play at Frontier Airlines.

But you need to hurry.

The discount carrier is offering a 2-for-1 promotion called “Friends Fly Free” in which you can get a round-trip flight for free when you purchase a round-trip flight on select routes and dates. Tickets must be purchased by Sunday, May 19, and there are restrictions, of course.

The promotion is connected to Frontier’s Discount Den Fare Club program, which costs $59.99 a year to join. You also need to travel by June 12 or between June 18 and August 28, and tickets must be purchased seven days in advance.

The 2-for-1 special is only available for travel Mondays through Thursdays through the June 12 date. From June 18 to August 28, you can only fly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During that time period, blackout dates also fall on July 2 and 3.

Check the Frontier website for routes and other information.

In the meantime, Frontier’s 2,200 flight attendants on Wednesday ratified a new five-year contract after more than three years of negotiations. According to a spokeswoman for the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), 94 percent of the group ratified the new deal.

According to airlines-flight-attendants-ratify-new.html” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener noreferrer”>the Chicago Business Journal, the new contract will give Frontier flight attendants an average 24 percent wage increase over the five-year life of the deal. Other benefits in the new contract include guaranteed rest periods, more schedule flexibility, five additional vacation days a year and other quality-of-life enhancements.

“Frontier flight attendants fought hard for this contract and overwhelmingly voted to ratify it. This contract provides immediate economic gains and locks in important work rules and protections for flight attendants,” Jennifer Sala, AFA Frontier president, said in a statement. “This shows the power of our flight attendant group when we stand together and fight for the contract we deserve.”
