German Butcher Opens a Bratwurst-Inspired Hotel

Following the news that Hilton London Bakeside is introducing a luxury vegan suite to the market is a story in Germany about a butcher who opened a bratwurst-inspired hotel.

Located in Rittersbach, Germany, the hotel is called BB&BB, which stands for Boebel Bratwurst Bed and Breakfast. Butcher Claus Boebel designed the seven-room hotel in a way that would entice travelers to experience northern Bavaria’s most popular dish, bratwurst.

“Our slogan “sleeping under a Bratwurst sky” is not just a marketing slogan but actually for real, so that when I look up from the bed I see sausages,” Boebel said, according to 10 daily.

Bratwurst hanging from the ceiling isn’t all guests at BB&BB will see. The wallpaper features all kinds of scrumptious cuts of meat, and guests can lay their head on a bratwurst-shaped pillow at night. The room numbers are printed on butcher’s knives and the headboards on the beds have the outlines of pigs.

Even the soap in the bathroom is designed to look like a sausage!

“This is the absolute bratwurst heaven and I love that,” Claus Boebel told Reuters. “I wanted to get a bit of holiday feeling in my house and … make the bratwurst attractive for the whole world.”

A stay at the property is about $160 per night and includes breakfast with, you guessed it, bratwurst.

If the meaty breakfast isn’t enough, guests can always go to the on-site Wurstaurant, which has sausage-related dishes, including sausage ice cream.
