Get your “Yum” on at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Fall in Disney World means that the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is back. In addition to the festival, there are several new things to check out at Epcot and a few limited time offerings that you don’t want to miss.

The Food and Wine Festival, which started on August 29th and will continue to November 23rd, is one of Epcot’s most popular festivals. There are so many new foods and beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic to try. In addition, there is also limited time merch that is exclusive to the festival that you will not want to miss out on. The Food and Wine Festival is a huge deal every single year, so make sure you don’t miss out.

In addition to the Food and Wine Festival, September 15th marked the beginning of Disney’s Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month at Epcot. The ¡Celebración Encanto! Show that premiered this summer in the World Celebration neighborhood at Epcot will be continuing for the Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. This show is appearing for a limited time, so make sure not to miss it now that it has been extended. There is no set closing date for the sing-along featuring Mirabel and Bruno Madrigal at this time, though the festival ends on October 15th.

In addition, Miguel from Coco will be joining the Mariachi Cobre at the Mexico pavilion for performances several times a day.

While you’re at the festival, be sure to check out the new meet and greet with Mickey and Friends at CommuniCore Hall in the World Celebration neighborhood. It opened in June of 2024 and it is so cute! Guests can visit from park open to close and meet three characters in their classic Disney attire. Our meet and greet featured Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse and it was one of the best I’ve had! With three classic characters in one room, there’s no telling what you might see, as these characters often interact with each other between meeting guests. It’s a chance to watch characters interact in a way that you may not see in other places around Walt Disney World. Not only is this a super cute and colorful meet and greet, but it is also indoor, which provides some time out of the sun and heat.

If you happen to be visiting Epcot on the 21st of September, make sure to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Disney has confirmed that the ride will only be playing September for the entire day, instead of the normal six song choices. This is super fun and is only happening for one day, so celebrate your 21st night (or day) of September right with a ride on Cosmic Rewind. This ride still utilizes a virtual queue, so make sure to get one at either 7 am, or 1 pm if you’re inside the park, or purchase individual Lightning Lane to be able to ride.

Fall is a busy time at Epcot with the Food and Wine Festival and the Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month going on right now. With so many exciting offerings, why wouldn’t you want to be in Walt Disney World right now? There’s still time to partake in these events, so reach out to me at Jen@thejetsetgo.com if you’re interested in planning a last minute trip or a 2025 visit!
