JetBlue announced Wednesday it is adding new routes and new destinations to further expand the airline’s footprint along the West Coast.
After the successful launch of JetBlue’s Mint class in markets such as San Diego, Las Vegas and Seattle, the carrier has announced several network enhancements designed to provided travelers with a viable alternative to other major airlines.
To further boost JetBlue as a top transcontinental option, the carrier is making a number of schedule changes in 2018, including launching service in Ontario, California; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Bozeman, Montana.
In addition, the airline will improve its Long Beach schedule to better meet the needs of the market, increase service to Burbank, add frequencies on popular cross-country routes and expand seasonal service in Palm Springs for the holiday season.

“We continue to focus on leveraging the popularity of our transcon service, which is producing excellent results for our business,” JetBlue executive vice president Marty St. George said in a statement. “As we advance our West Coast strategy, we are bringing more flying options that our customers want and are growing our brand in hot new destinations that are thrilled to have JetBlue as a new option for travel.”
JetBlue officials also announced the airline would be increasing the number of nonstop choices to East Coast destinations like New York, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale. The airline expanded service to the Caribbean in April as well.
Earlier this week, JetBlue announced a first-of-its-kind codeshare partnership with JetSuiteX, which provides customers with access to West Coast flights operated by the semi-private charter company.
