JetBlue Announces Groundbreaking Codeshare Partnership with JetSuiteX

JetBlue announced Monday it had worked out a first-of-its-kind codeshare agreement with JetSuiteX to make the private air carrier’s flights available to book on JetBlue.com.

Starting May 1, JetBlue will expand its point-to-point routes between West Coast destinations by adding the airline’s “B6” airline code on JetSuiteX Air-operated flights. Some of the destinations include Burbank, Concord and Oakland, California; as well as Las Vegas.

The partnership marks the first codeshare between a semi-private public charter operator and a major national carrier. Customers who purchase tickets for JetSuiteX flights will be able to enjoy a semi-private flying experience for commercial airline prices.

“We are delighted to introduce even more people to the JetSuiteX experience and to provide new options to JetBlue customers in their West Coast travels in an exciting new way through this partnership with JetBlue,” JetSuiteX CEO Alex Wilcox said in a statement.

“This first-of-its-kind agreement marks an important milestone as we enhance the distribution and availability of JetSuiteX into traditional airline channels. We are proud to be partnered with the iconic JetBlue Airways.”

“JetBlue and JetSuiteX share a common vision focused on innovation and offering travelers an unmatched level of service when they fly, which is why our partnership is such a perfect match,” JetBlue director of airline partnerships Tracy Bink said. “Together JetBlue and JetSuiteX are leading the industry in creating a flying experience unlike anything else on the west coast.”

JetSuiteX flights also feature elite amenities and options, including two free checked bags, 36 inches of leg room, power at every seat and complimentary cocktail and snack service. Customers only have to arrive only 15-20 minutes before departure and flights can be booked directly on JetBlue’s official website.

The new codeshare doesn’t currently include connecting flights to or from JetBlue’s network; customers must arrive and depart from JetSuiteX’s private terminals for their JetSuiteX operated flights.
