There’s a new guy on the block at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport and his name is Master Pepper.
In conjunction with Mastercard, Vaclav Havel Airport has introduced Master Pepper, a white robot that stands four feet tall and works at Terminal 2 offering both directions and entertainment to travelers.
He can give directions to departure gates, children’s play areas, or the nearest information desk. Master Pepper can also take selfies with passengers and dances upon request.
Rolling on wheels and with a humanoid shape, Master Pepper can move his arms and head and work for 12 hours before needing an electricity refill.

He can recognize faces and basic human emotions, making him the world’s first social humanoid robot with this ability, according to its creator, SoftBank.
Master Pepper can communicate with travelers in English. For those who only understand Czech, they can type into the robot’s touch tablet for instructions.
Prague Vaclav Havel Airport’s Master Pepper is not the first of his tribe to appear in the travel industry. SoftBank has sold around 12,000 Pepper model robots since introducing him in 2014. A Pepper robot made an appearance on Costa Cruises’ Costa Diadema in 2016 and at Munich Airport in 2018.
You can find Master Pepper in Terminal 2 at Vaclav Havel Airport from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
