You probably binged a lot of TV shows and movies during the pandemic. Now that you’re on the go again, you can participate in a new travel trend: set-jetting, taking a vacation to see the places where your favorites were filmed.

Here are a few examples:

HBO’s “White Lotus,” about guests and employees at a luxury resort, set its first season in Hawaii and its second in Italy. The series was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui and the San Domenico Palace Taormina, on Sicily, also a Four Seasons property. Both are part of the SELECT Hotels and Resorts program, where clients of Travel Leaders travel advisors are eligible for value-added amenities.

Netflix’s “Inventing Anna” is based on the true story of Anna Delvey, who convinced New York’s elite that she was an heiress. One episode, in which Anna takes her friends to Morocco, was filmed at La Mamounia, in Marrakesh. The resort, which is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, has been acclaimed by publications like Conde Nast Traveler for its beauty and exemplary service.

Segments of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” were filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea. Dubrovnik is famous for its Old Town, surrounded by massive stone walls completed in the 17th century. You can visit more than a dozen “Game of Thrones” locations, including the site of King’s Landing, either by taking an organized tour or doing it on your own.

New York City has always been a popular setting for movies and TV shows. Two recent series put it in the spotlight — HBO’s “And Just Like That,” a sequel to “Sex and the City,” and Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, set mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. A variety of tours highlight filming locations like the Magnolia Bakery, New York Public Library, Village Vanguard jazz club and Washington Square Park.

The enchanting landscape of New Zealand stands in for Middle Earth in director Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” movies. More than 150 locations were used and you can visit many of them. There are several in Wellington, the capital, including Harcourt Park and Mount Victoria, which was used to depict Hobbiton Woods.

“Emily in Paris,” on Netflix, follows a young American who moves to the French capital for work. You can walk in Emily’s footsteps at the city’s most famous sites. Filming locations include the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, a hilltop church in Montmartre, and the Wall of Love, with more than 300 translations of “I love you” in different languages.

If “Ted Lasso,” on Apple TV+, has sparked your interest in England’s Premier League, the football season begins in August and runs through May. Many of the scenes were filmed in Richmond, about a half hour from London, where you can visit the Prince’s Head pub and stroll along Paved Court, a cobblestone street with gift shops, boutiques and cafes.
