Primera Air to Start Direct Flights to Brussels for Only $149

WHY IT RATES: Travelers flying transatlantic out of New York, Boston and Washington D.C., are now offered a low-cost affordable option thanks to Primera Air.—Jessica Zickefoose, TravelPulse Associate Editor


Nordic low-cost, long-haul airline Primera Air will start operations from New York, Boston and Washington D.C.

Flights to the metropolis of chocolate and center of the European Union will be operated from New York Newark Airport (EWR), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Washington D.C. Dulles International Airport (IAD). The starting price for flights from New York and Boston will be from $149 one-way and from Washington D.C. starting from $199 one-way.

Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer said, “We see a strong demand for low-cost transatlantic flights from New York, Boston and Washington D.C., therefore we are fulfilling our strategy and increasing number of destinations. With the right equipment and our product, we can offer the lowest fares available in the market for both Economy and full-service Premium.” Primera Air will be a first low-cost, long-haul airline in Brussels Airport.

Flights will be operated on Boeing 737 Max 9 and the airline has placed an order of 20 aircraft. Primera Air’s transatlantic fleet currently consists of 5 brand new Airbus A321neo and a short-haul fleet of 10 Boeing NG737 aircraft.
