Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited Reflect on Travvy Wins

Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited won big at the 2018 Travvy Awards, and its brands are ready to sustain greatness.

Royal Caribbean International took home a total of ten trophies including gold for Best Cruise Line – Caribbean/Bahamas, Best Cruise Line – Contemporary, Best Cruise Line – Family, Best Cruise Line – U.S./Canada and Best Cruise Line – Overall, as well as silver for Best Cruise Line – Central & South America and Best Cruise Line – LGBTQ.

Its ships were also awarded golds, with Allure of the Seas being named Best Cruise Ship – Contemporary, Harmony of the Seas dubbed Best Cruise Ship – Large and Anthem of the Seas called Best Cruise Ship – Overall.

”We are so proud to have been honored as Best Cruise Line Overall, along with nine more incredible Travvy Awards,” Vicki Freed, senior vice president, Sales, Trade Support and Service, Royal Caribbean International said. Royal “Caribbean experienced a strong year of growth, and this recognition is a testament to our relationships with valued travel agents and their continued success as our partners.

“We have an exciting year ahead with news you won’t want to miss, including Symphony of the Seas’ debut, the multimillion-dollar modernization of our fleet starting with Mariner and Independence of the Seas, and much more that will touch every facet of the vacation experience,” she added.

Corporate cousin, Azamara Club Cruises, was similarly victorious with the line winning the gold for Best Cruise Line – Asia and the Azamara Quest specifically receiving the gold as the Best Cruise Ship – Small.

“We are very excited for our two wins in the 2018 Travvy Awards, especially as we prepare to launch the evolution of our Destination Immersion programming,” the brand’s President and CEO Larry Pimentel, said proudly. “With the addition of the Azamara Pursuit to our fleet, this allows us to visit all 7 continents of the world and carefully curate additional shore excursions that will provide travelers with even more opportunities to travel deeper, beyond the initial layers of a city.”

Celebrity Cruises rounded out the wins with another nine Travvy Awards. The line itself got the gold in Best Cruise Line – Central & South America and Best Cruise Line – Premium as well as the silver in Best Cruise Line – Asia, Best Cruise Line – Caribbean/Bahamas, Best Cruise Line – Europe, Best Cruise Line – U.S./Canada and Best Cruise Line – Overall.

The Celebrity Reflection, additionally, was named Best Cruise Ship – Premium and silver for Best Cruise Ship – Overall.

The individual wins from the line’s last new ship potentially foreshadow even greater things to come from the upcoming Celebrity Edge launching in November 2018 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When the fresh vessel arrives, it will build upon the brand’s foundation of fine dining with a vast array of complimentary and specialty culinary choices in addition to innovative accommodations and other highly anticipated amenities.
