The Executive Board of Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 556, representing the Flight Attendants of Southwest Airlines, voted to approve a Tentative Agreement (TA) on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Southwest Airlines Management. The TA will now be presented to the 13,500+ Flight Attendants for a vote.
TWU Local 556 President and Lead Negotiator, Audrey Stone, states, “I am excited that after two years of negotiations, we have an agreement to present to the best Flight Attendants in the industry that recognizes their dedication to our Customers and to our Company. This CBA assures that the Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants continue to be the highest paid in the industry through 2019. It maintains and improves upon an industry-leading Contract, while ensuring that Southwest Airlines’ remains prosperous in the future.” The full details of the agreement will be released soon.
