According to KTUU.com, the official website of Alaska Airlines revealed the carrier will now charge $30 for the first checked bag and $40 for the second. The price increases come after other airlines such as American, Delta, JetBlue and United have made similar changes.

Alaska residents who are part of the Club 49 loyalty program will still receive two free checked bags per flight. In addition, Alaska announced the fees for the third checked bag will increase from $75 to $100 and the cost of an overweight bag will jump from $75 to $100.

The changes go into effect December 5 and are applicable each way, per person.

Alaska’s recent changes leave Southwest Airlines as the only carrier in the United States to still offer free checked bags, with customers able to check two bags for free, but weight and size limits still apply.

In September, Delta Air Lines announced it was the latest carrier to increase checked bag fees to $30 for the first bag and $40 for the second.
