Delta Issues Travel Waivers for Upper Midwest Airports

The U.S. has been slammed with bad winter weather the last two weekends and it continues again, prompting Delta to issues travel waivers to several upper midwest airports.

Minnesota, North Dakota, Michigan, and Wisconsin are expected to experience a lot of snow from a winter storm over the next few days, which is why Delta is offering travel waivers for travelers who booked flights in airports in the region.

MORE Airlines & Airports

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is the biggest airport on the list. Travelers flying out of the following Wisconsin airports can receive travel waivers: Appelton, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Rhinelander, and Wausau.

Iron Mountain is the only Michigan airport on the list, and Fargo and Grand Forks–the only North Dakota airports included. Minnesota airports in the affected area include Bemidji, Brainerd, Duluth, Hibbing, and Rochester.

The waiver is valid for travelers going through the affected airports on January 27-28. All rebooked travel must begin no later than February 1st.

Travelers can go to My Trips on delta.com, and click “Modify Flight,” then “Start Flight Change” and search for a new flight. While the change fee will initially appear, it will be waived prior to check out for the airports on the Delta travel waiver list.
