The Munich Airport will be a busy place this summer.
Officials announced the facility has booked slots for more than 250,000 scheduled flights to 246 destinations in 68 countries.
In addition to serving 17 domestic airports in Germany and 179 medium-range routes, scheduled flights will be available to 50 intercontinental destinations during the summer service, which runs from March 25 through October 27.

For North American travelers, Lufthansa will offer departures to Los Angeles and Chicago, and Eurowings will operate flights to Fort Myers and Las Vegas. The airlines will also serve top Caribbean and Mexican tourist destinations, including Cancun, Montego Bay, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.
Lufthansa will also station five Airbus A380 planes at the Munich Airport, increasing capacity for both of the airline’s brands to serve other international destinations, including Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Palma de Mallorca, and Singapore.
The carrier will additionally offer flights to Varadero, Cuba and Windhoek, Namibia.
Other international airlines adding service from the German airport include Nordica (Estonia), Scandinavian Airlines (Sweden), Volotea (Spain), Wideroe (Norway), Cyprus Airways and Croatia Airlines.
Airport officials also announced there will no longer be services to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; or Tehran, Iran.
