While specific routes are not yet available for purchase, the airline revealed it plans to offer nonstop service to Hawaii from key California hubs, including Oakland, San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento.

As for the likely destinations in Hawaii, Southwest officials said the carrier would serve Honolulu, Kahului, Kona and Lihue, in addition to providing interisland service.

In January, Southwest CEO Gary Kelly said the airline would begin operating flights about a month after it received the necessary government approval and launched ticket sales.

Earlier this month, the airline completed its first-ever touchdown on the Hawaiian Islands as part of the authorization process with the FAA. Southwest flew a Boeing 737-800 to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
