Spirit Airlines Expanding Service to Jamaica for Spring Break

Spirit Airlines announced it is bolstering Spring Break service by adding flights between Orlando and Jamaica.

On Thursday, the low-cost carrier launched nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Spirit also debuted new nonstop flights Friday between Orlando and Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica.

“We are pleased to bring the best value in the sky with more flights from Orlando International Airport with nonstop service to the beautiful island of Jamaica,” Spirit Airlines vice president John Kirby said in a statement. “With the most nonstop destinations from Orlando to the Caribbean and Latin America, Spirit enables Guests to experience incredible beaches, culture, hospitality and the opportunity to visit family and friends.”

“Jamaica welcomes Spirit Airlines and the additional flights presented to our travelers,” Jamaica Tourist Board manager Francine Carter Henry said. “We are constantly looking to expand gateways serving the destination and Spirit Airlines provide very good options to support a constantly growing appetite for travel from the USA to both Kingston and Montego Bay airports.”

The additional service is part of Spirit’s continued expansion from Orlando International Airport, including new flights to Denver International Airport, which debuted Thursday. The airline will also launch service to Indianapolis starting March 14, Raleigh-Durham on May 2 and Charlotte on June 20.

Spirit will now offer the Orlando area nonstop service to airlines/spirit-airlines-begins-flying-from-austin-texas.html” target=”_self” rel=”nofollow”>44 destinations with over 50 daily flights across the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America. The popular Florida destination will also serve as the site of Spirit’s fleet-wide Wi-Fi installation, which will start to roll out this year.
