On Thursday morning at around 6:36 a.m. local time, a United Airlines flight landed safely at Sydney Airport (SYD) after crying “mayday” due to an unsafe level of fuel reserves aboard the flight.
According to United Airlines, the issue was the result of an aircraft malfunction, and that no injuries have been reported. The aircraft reportedly would have had about 45 minutes of flight left in it at the time of landing.
