Windstar Cruises Launches Advisor Appreciation Program

Small-ship luxury operator Windstar Cruises has launched a rewards program offering travel advisors opportunities to earn points through learning about the Windstar brand, promoting the line’s itineraries and booking cruises throughout May, which the line has designated Travel Advisor Appreciation Month.

The top five point earners for the month will receive suites for two aboard a Bahamas and Key West cruise aboard Windstar’s recently enhanced 212-guest Star Breeze. Points earned can also be exchanged for gift cards in various amounts.

Consultants can earn points through graduation from Windstar’s Star Specialist Academy or attending a Windstar webinar; creating a Windstar post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or sending out a Windstar Cruises promotional email.

Advisors can also earn points by booking a guest on Windstar; registering to use the bookWINDSTAR ONLINE reservation system; making a first Windstar booking through bookWINDSTAR ONLINE or by making additional bookWINDSTAR ONLINE reservations. All of the above actions must have occurred within the last 12 months.

“We want to thank you for all that you do to recommend Windstar Cruises to your clients,” said Windstar Cruises Vice President of Sales Steve Simao. “We are excited to offer a host of special rewards for travel advisors, our most valuable business partners.”

Gift cards in denominations of between $100 and $500 will be awarded to agents who compile between 1,000 and 5,000 points. The Grand Prize voyage aboard Star Breeze will sail from Miami later this year.

Gift cards will be awarded for the total points earned at the end of May. The grand prize will be awarded to the top five advisors determined by the highest number of cumulative points earned by the conclusion of the contest.

Travel advisors have until the end of June to complete point-earning actions and through the end of July to register point totals. Gift cards will be delivered after the advisor’s eligible bookings have sailed. Grand prize winners will be chosen and notified on December 2.

Star Breeze is the first Windstar ship to complete a renovation under the company’s $250 million Star Plus initiative, which will renovate each of the line’s all-suite ships with” re-imagined” spas and fitness centers, refurbished dining venues, decks and pools and remodeled bathrooms, plus new suite options.
