JetBlue passenger Gwen Wunderlich begged to be allowed to deplane her Costa Rica-bound flight after being made aware that her beloved Chow Chow, Cash, had broken free of his dog walker in New York City, leading her owners on a six-hour search.
“I told the stewardess. I got up, and she was like, ‘Are you sure? We can only turn around for emergencies,’ […] I’m like, ‘this is an emergency for me,’” said Wunderlich.
Cash was eventually found in a deli, lying down behind the counter.
