Ryanair Pilots Announce Fifth Strike

The pilots of Ryanair, who are in the process of staging a walkout today (August 3), confirmed that they will further the strike, adding next friday (August 10) as a day on which they will refuse to work. Negotiations between the pilots’ union and the carrier have thus far borne little progress for issues such as transfer allocations, wages and leave.

“For over a month the union has said that industrial action is likely to continue until there is substantial movement on the pilots’ reasonable demands for an agreement on a fair and transparent approach to base transfers and related matters,” said a spokesperson for the union.
