The airline’s airline/” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow”>Swiss Saveurs menu concept allows travelers across all cabin categories to order a la carte food, drink, and snacks inspired by traditional Swiss dishes, including cheesy fondue.
For the 2018-2019 winter season, customers can enjoy a cheese fondue made of 50% Vacherin Fribourgeois cheese and 50% Gruyere cheese with bread for dipping. If the fondue isn’t filling enough, charcuterie boards filled with cured ham, Gruyere salami, and dried meats can be paired with it.
Hot chocolate made from Swiss chocolate is also available, as is a pain au lait served with a Cailler chocolate bar, and a Carac tartlet, a shortcrust pastry with dark chocolate praline and bright green frosting.
It’s not the first time that cheese fondue has been offered by Swiss International Airlines, but it is the first time that economy passengers can enjoy the delectable treat for 17 Swiss Francs (about $17 USD).
The Swiss Saveurs menu is available on flights from Geneva to Malaga, Athens, Stockholm, Moscow, Gothenburg, Hurghada, Lisbon, St. Petersburg, and Marrakesh.
