From the moment step into the Brightline terminal, you realize what a major deal this high speed rail service is for South Florida. The operation is top-notch and sets a new standard for rail service in the US. Brightline offers high speed rail service between Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. Service to Orlando is planned for 2021!

 

 

Seating Options

Brightline offers Smart, Smart Plus, and Select classes of service which offer their own respective seating and amenities.

 

Lounges

Well appointed departure lounges are provided for the comfort of all Brightline passengers and there’s also a Select Lounge available to those who’ve purchased tickets in the Select section of the train. The Select Lounge offers complimentary beverages, including beer and wine, as well as snacks.

On Board

From premium seating to onboard beverage, cocktail, and snack service, it’s almost a shame the Brightline ride is over so quickly. The free WiFi is fast and the onboard lavatory (with Dyson faucet and hand dryer units) put most airlines’ offerings to shame.

The cheerful train attendants waste no time getting the trolley out into the aisle. I ordered a Tito’s Vodka on the rocks which was complimentary along with snacks . The snacks looked great although I’d already partaken in the spread that greeted me back at the Select Lounge.

 

Take a ride on the Brightline

Florida visitors and residents alike are loving Brightline. Prior to my trip, I’d spoken to several delighted Brightline customers who’d taken the line to Miami for day trips and long weekends. On the train, the couple across the aisle was traveling from West Palm Beach to Miami for dinner and heading back the same evening on the last train to West Palm.
