Mom Lets Child Use Potty in Plane Aisle, Polarizes Travelers

An air traveler is being both shamed and praised on social media after letting her child use the potty in the aisle of an airplane.

In a post to the popular Passenger Shaming Instagram account, the unidentified woman is seen holding the child on the potty just feet away from their fellow passengers.

“Parent brings own potty seat on board, sets it in aisle midflight to have child use (in front of everyone)—when discovered by crew was advised she couldn’t do this and would need to utilize the unoccupied lavatory…and her reply…”I don’t give a s**t!” the post stated.

The photo, which blurs the faces of the woman and child as not to identify them, has generated tons of comments, some bashing the mother for not taking the child to the bathroom and others coming to her defense.

“She should be banned from air travel for life that is just disgusting,” said one person.

“Can’t believe all the negative comments, would you prefer the poor child did it on the floor?!!!! Potty training is hard work!” said another user.

Others simply wondered how the woman was able to get the potty onto the plane.

It’s not clear which airline or flight route the polarizing bathroom break occurred on but it’s certain it’s created a brand new debate about airplane etiquette.

As of Friday morning, the post has been liked more than 8,700 times.
