In honor of Black History Month, The Water Dancer by National Book Award winner Ta-Nehisi Coates is the first free ebook offered through this program. The Water Dancer follows Hiram Walker, an enslaved man in Virginia who is both scrutinized and celebrated for his intellect. Winfrey calls The Water Dancer “as beautiful as it is tragic.”
